Nails were bitten down to the quick as Stuart Boardley's Felixstowe & Walton United were involved in an astonishing 30 shot penalty shoot out at Hashtag United, in an Emirates FA Cup preliminary qualifying round.

Sadly for the Seasiders they lost out 13-12 to the south Essex side, with both sides taking 15 penalties, after the two teams had battled out to a 1-1 draw in the normal 90 minutes.

New signing Tyger Smalls scores with spectacular free kick for Seasiders (picture - Felixstowe & Walton United)

Former Tottenham Hotspur academy attacker Tyger Smalls made an immediate impact for his new club with a cracking goal in Felixstowe & Walton United 2-1 win over Lowestoft.

The 17-year-old, who had a trial with FA Cup winners Arsenal in March, joined the injury hit Seasiders after spells Haverhill Rovers and Saffron Walden Town last season.

Seasiders supporters are warned to get to Dellwood Avenue in good time for tonight's friendly against Ipswich Town Under 23s tonight.

With a capacity set at 400 it is case of first come first served at the Goldstar Ground, with cash only entrance at the turnstile, which open at 6.45pm for a 7.45pm kick off.

Seasiders boss Stuart Boardley has a mantra of under-promising and over delivering but that has not stopped him setting his sights on at least a top half finish, as his side start the campaign away at Great Wakering Rovers.

Felixstowe & Walton United will then kick off their competitive home season, also against Rovers, tis time in the FA Trophy first qualifying round, on Saturday, September 26. That means their league game against AFC Sudbury scheduled for the same day, will need to be rearranged.
