St Elizabeth Hospice is once again encouraging the Felixstowe community to don their brightest fancy dress outfits and bring the party atmosphere to Ipswich as part of the charity's much-loved Midnight Walk 2023.

After taking a break in 2022, while the hospice hosted the Big Hoot Ipswich 2022 art trail, the hospice's flagship fundraising event, the Midnight Walk, will return on Saturday 20th May, for the sixteenth time, and the charity has announced early bird tickets are now available to purchase for £10 until 13th March.

Nichola Whymark, Head of Partnership Fundraising at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: "The hospice's Midnight Walk is such a well-loved event and one that is a popular date in the diary for so many in the local community.

"Following a short break, while we hosted the Big Hoot Ipswich 2022, we are so excited to be hosting the Midnight Walk in Ipswich once more this summer and look forward to seeing our supporters bring the party atmosphere to the town.

"With our early bird tickets now available there is no better time to register and start encouraging friends and family to sponsor you and help you make a difference to St Elizabeth Hospice."

The Midnight Walk offers supporters a chance to party, dress up and raise funds for the hospice through sponsorship, as well as an opportunity to remember loved ones who are no longer with us.

This summer's Midnight Walk will be neon themed and will see supporters completing walking routes of 5 or 10 miles, with both routes starting at the home of Ipswich Town FC, Portman Road from 9.30pm, with on the day registration beginning at 7.30pm.

Both routes will take supporters from the home of Ipswich Town Football Club at Portman Road and along Ipswich Waterfront. The 5 mile route will continue up to Foxhall Road to the hospice, whilst the 10 mile route will go past The Hold, Christchurch Park, to Rushmere and link up at the hospice. Both routes will return along Ipswich Waterfront, returning to ITFC's ground to end the night.

Early bird tickets, for the price of £10 run until 13th March, standard tickets for £14 are available until 14th May and on the night registration will be available for £20. St Elizabeth Hospice shops will also be stocking plenty of outfit inspiration for attendees to purchase ahead of the Midnight Walk

Despite heavy rain and high winds, over 500 people took part in the Midnight Walk 2021 which raised £50,000 for the independent Suffolk charity.
