Police are appealing for witnesses after a van windscreen was smashed in Felixstowe.

The incident occurred at around 6.25pm on Monday 22 June, on the A14 westbound just prior to the Dock Spur roundabout.

The driver of a white Peugeot Boxer van reported that a yellow object the size of a fist struck the windscreen, causing it to smash. He did not see where it came from, but believes that it could have been thrown from the embankment.

Officers were called and searched the area, but there was no trace of any persons in the area.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Neighbourhood Response Team at Landmark House on 101, quoting reference 34607/20.
