Cinema-lovers will be able to settle comfortably in their seats and watch the new blockbuster films on the big screen from July 4.

The Palace Cinema Felixstowe has come up with a novel way explaining how it will cater for customers while keeping within government guidelines.

General manager Patrick Duffy revealed: "We are not operating every other row so you have two metres distance both in front and behind you and I have a screen that will keep two metres between you and anyone not in your family or group.

"Customers will be given a step by step guide on the process to enter and leave the cinema and with the investment in the screens and equipment it is hoped customers will feel confident and safe but be as safe as it is possible to be and in the safest cinema in the UK.

Vivienne as you might know quite a poet and she has taken all I have said, come up with a verse and it is going to be our motto and entry advice."

'Welcome to the Palace, We aim to keep you safe,

Anytime you're on the move, Wear a mask on your face,

If seated at your seat, Then there is no need,

You have the screen to protect you, To these rules you must heed,

We will take your temperature, Tissues and sanitiser are free,

Wash your hands regularly, We know you will agree,

Make sure you keep your distance, And patience is a must,

Your safety and enjoyment, to us you can entrust'.

Mr Duffy added: "This is a serious issue but our business is about fun, friends and leisure so we must be light hearted and positive in our compliance."
