James Hawker from Felixstowe denies 27 sex offences against children

A Felixstowe man charged with a number of sexual offences against children aged between 13 and 17 including attempted rape, has denied all the allegations.

James Hawker, of Cornwall Road, Felixstowe, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday to enter pleas for 27 offences dating from 2012 to 2021.

44-year-old Hawker was charged with 27 offences in total, which he has denied.

These include 11 counts of sexual assault, four counts of rape, four counts of assault by penetration and three counts of making indecent images of children.

These offences are alleged to have taken place in February of 2021 including one count of making 211,116 indecent images. 

On one occasion Hawker is accused of making 299 indecent images and a further charge of 827 images.

He is also accused of one count of attempted rape, two counts of taking indecent images of children, one count of addressing extreme pornographic images of children, and one count of voyeurism.

Hawker pleaded not guilty to every offence.

A full trial is not expected to take place until September 22, 2025 but further case management is expected to take place next month.
