Suffolk Coastal MP Therese Coffey has today left Rishi Sunak's cabinet as the prime minister reshuffles his top team.

The move comes on a day when Suella Braverman was sacked as Home Secretary, to be replaced by Braintree MP James Cleveley, while former prime minister David Cameron has been made a Lord, so he can take up the foreign secretary role.

In a resignation letter to the PM, Felixstowe MP Dr Coffey, said it had been a privilege to serve five different prime ministers since 2014 but felt the time was right to focus on her constituency.
