Vaughan Hair is exited to announce that it has been shortlisted in the UK Hair & Beauty awards in the 'Best of Blondes' category.

I am a 19 year old self employed hair stylist with my own business Vaughans Hair. Ever since I was a little girl I always told my mum I wanted to be a hairdresser and follow in her footsteps. I always used to play with my hair at school and loved doing my friends and family's hair. When I turned 14 I started it as a Saturday girl and I absolutely loved it, meeting and greeting clients was my favorite thing to do and watching the stylists do there job was so satistying, always said to myself that will be me one day fulfilling my dream.

In 2020 was the year I was leaving high school it was a massive year for me as Covid hit and I was never really academic at school, I always used to say I wanted to be a hairdresser and no one believed in me.

My mum then fell pregnant with identical twin boys so she was very high risk. That I had to leave school earlier than everyone else. I was so passionate about hair I went out and got myself an apprenticeship at 15 at a hair salon and started to go on to learn about hair along side my apprenticeship twice a week I absolutely loved it, having models in every week and learning about the theory side of hair. Two years down the line with blood sweat and tears working long and hard to get my qualification for hairdressing was my goal, to achieve me dream by being a qualified hairdresser by 18, and guess what I did it I passed ! I passed my qualification in 2022 and it was the best feeling in the world.

The start of this year 2023 I said to myself I would love to work for myself and start my own business, I have started from the bottom and worked my way up to now, June 2023 I started being self employed at VaughansHair building up my clients and I've always had a very big passion for blondes it's my everything I could do it in my sleep! I specialize in blondes and it's the best feeling in the world changing people on how they feel with the dream hair of being blonde. It's so rewarding hearing amazing and heartwarming feedback from clients on how happy they are with there colour and being the first stylist to get them to the exact blonde they've always wanted.

To now being shortlisted out of thousands and thousands of people in the world , and to represent my business at 19 for the category' Best For Blonde' is a pinch me moment and a huge milestone for me in my career and I can't believe it , I want to thank everyone who has supported me and believed it me since day one , I wouldn't of been able to do it without you guys.
