Alleged burglar denies attacking Felixstowe woman

A man who is alleged to have burgled a woman's home in Walton Court, Felixstowe has been told he will face trial in October after a plea and trial preparation hearing at Ipswich Crown Court.

Nicholls, who is currently in custody, pleaded not guilty to burglary, assaulting a woman by suffocation, assault causing actual bodily harm and using coercive or controlling behaviour.

The 25-year-old of Avondale Road, Ipswich. is also alleged to have cut up the woman's clothes, damaged her property and hid her mobile phone.

Nicholls' trial will take place during a two week warned list commencing October 16 at Ipswich Crown Court and is expected to last two to three days.
