The Ever Given is due back in Felixstowe next week, almost year to the week since it blocked the Suez Canal causing container carnage after getting stuck in mud.

The Evergreen owned ship is expected to dock at the Port of Felixstowe around 7am next Monday, just over a year since she ran aground on March 21 last year.

She was eventually released after negotiating a deal with the Suez Canal Authority to pay out in £655million compensation

The Panama-registered ship eventually docked on August 3 from Rotterdam, four months after she was initially due.

Scores of people lined the shoreline at Felixstowe, Trimley, Shotley and Harwich to see her arrive, before she unloaded and set off to Hamburg for repairs.
