Sloppy defending cost Felixstowe dearly as their unbeaten league run ended at Grays Athletic due to a 3-2 loss at Parkside in a match that featured ten yellow cards, six for the Seasiders.

The home side were ahead after just three minutes thanks to Sam Bantick's effort, though some attributed it as a an own goal from Leon Ottley-Gooch.

Felixstowe were level with a cracker from Josh Hitter on 25 minutes but the second Grays goal, this time definitely from Bantick, gave Grays the lead at the break.

Anointed Chukwu then stretched the lead just after the hour and though Felixstowe got one back through Billy Holland in the closing moments, Grays held on to take the points and make up ground on leaders Lowestoft who lost their 100 per cent record with a goalless draw at Hullbridge Sports.

The Seasiders look to get back to winning ways on Saturday when they take on Hashtag United at the Dellwood Avenue fortress that is the AGL Stadium, whereStuart Boardley's side have a four game winning streak.
