The smell of burgers cooking, the occasional 'Seasiders' chant, a goal to celebrate, and the mingling of like-minded fans meant football was back at Dellwood Avenue.

Crowds returned to stadiums at non-league level for the first time since March, and while the result was not quite what they wanted, Seasiders supporters clearly enjoyed being able to taste live action as Felixstowe & Walton United players and staff welcomed them back.

Seasiders fans will be allowed to watch their team for the first time in nearly fives months, when Felixstowe & Walton United take on Leiston in a friendly tomorrow.

The Football Association confirmed earlier in the week that government guidelines restricting crowds attending matches were being eased and Felixstowe officials have been able to react swiftly to put the necessity protocols in place allowing fans into their Goldstar ground at Dellwood Avenue.

The Trust which runs Felixstowe hospital has revealed how it will use millions of pounds of Government money for a possible second wave of coronavirus.

Health minister Matt Hancock announced trusts across England would receive a share of £300 million, designed to help hospitals maintain essential services and reduce the risk of Covid-19 infection during the coming months, especially over the winter.
