All you need is a crabbing line, a net, a bucket and some bacon scraps, then hey presto. Drop the line over a jetty, pontoon, pier or sea wall and within minutes, if you know where to go, the shelled creatures are nibbling away ready to be pulled up.

Kuno, a four-year-old Belgian Malinois will become the 72nd recipient of the animal equivalent of the Victoria Cross after he tackled a gunman and was hit by bullets in both back legs. Previous award-winners since 1943 include; 34 dogs, 32 pigeons, four horses and one cat.

A prolific burglar has been jailed under the 'three strike rule' after being caught looting a house in Felixstowe.

36-year-old James Regan was spotted going into a house in Crescent Road, on Sunday July 26, and police were quickly on the scene to catch him red-handed after finding a ladder propped against the rear wall of the house leading up to an open window.

A London based investment company has taken a 90% stake in Archant, the owners of the East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star, with two of its holding companies going into administration.

Archant staff in Ipswich, Norwich and other areas, were today told that Rcapital Partners were the preferred buyers, after the publishing company had appealed for investment last month.

A leading housing specialist has outlined how he helped a Felixstowe family of four prevent eviction during lockdown.

But James Hanlon, a Legal Aid Housing Supervisor at the Suffolk Law Centre (SLC) fears that case is just the tip of an eviction iceberg and there is likely to be an 'avalanche of homelessness' when a government moratorium comes to an end in September.
