The boss of a Felixstowe's based trucking company has spoken of his delight after the company was chosen to be the first to live trial new automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system on one of the country busiest motorway toll.
Logistics operators Maritime started despatching container trucks from its fleet onto the M6 toll road today, to officially become the first vehicles to pay for their journeys on the 43km M6toll, between Cannock and Coleshill, via the ANPR tolling system.

Gamechanger 20 Ltd today confirmed they had bought the club after being in talks with Marcus Evans for more than a year.

Details of how Places Leisure are preparing to re-open Brackenbury Sports Centre and Felixstowe Leisure Centre in line with the centres normal opening hours have been released.
Pools and gyms will re-open in line with the Government's road map on April 12 and the return of group exercise programme will return on May 17 at the earliest.

A Felixstowe author has paid tribute to Paul Ritter, who has died aged 54 after suffering with a brain tumour.
Iain Maitland revealed Paul, who played Martin in Friday Night Dinner, had a little-known connection with Felixstowe, as he was adapting and set to take the lead in the TV series of Mr Todd's Reckoning by the local author Iain Maitland.

It was eerily quiet at Felixstowe docks over the Easter weekend as the delays caused by the Ever Green's blockage in the Suez Canal had a knock on effect.
As our pictures show, all the giant cranes at the Port Of Felixstowe lay idle for hours as the docks were virtually empty, and are likely to remain quiet for weeks to come.
