The boss of a Felixstowe's based trucking company has spoken of his delight after the company was chosen to be the first to live trial new automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system on one of the country busiest motorway toll.

Logistics operators Maritime started despatching container trucks from its fleet onto the M6 toll road today, to officially become the first vehicles to pay for their journeys on the 43km M6toll, between Cannock and Coleshill, via the ANPR tolling system.
