An interactive map has revealed who is the most searched-for person on Wikipedia from the Felixstowe area, and it may surprise you.

The Pudding has created a people map of the UK, replacing place names with their 'most Wikipedia-ed' resident.

This person could be someone who was born in, lived or has connections to the place, in this case Felixstowe.

Drumroll please...

According to the map, the most Wikipedia'ed person from the Felixstowe area is... Sir John Mills.

The Oscar Award-winning actor's connection with Felixstowe was fleeting, although it is believed he made his first stage appearance in the town when he moved to the town as a six year-old and his family lived in a modest house in Gainsborough Road, until 1929. His older sister was Annette Mills, remembered as presenter of BBC Television's Muffin the Mule (1946–55).

In September 1939, at the start of the Second World War, Mills enlisted in the British Army, joining the Royal Engineers. He was later commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, but in 1942 he received a medical discharge due to a stomach ulcer.

Mills took an early interest in acting, making his professional début at the London Hippodrome in The Five O'Clock Girl in 1929. He followed this with a cabaret act.

He starred in scores of films, stage shows and television programmes and was nominated for a number of BAFTA awards, before winning his Academy Award as best supporting actor in Ryan's Daughter.

Sir John was inducted into the Fellowship of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), their highest award, and was named a Disney Legend by the Walt Disney Company.

Did you guess who Felixstowe's most Wikipedia'd person is...?
