The Tour of Britain elite men's cycle race starts and finishes in Felixstowe on Thursday, September 7, and we can bring you the best places to watch the spectacle.

A number of roads will be closed A rolling road block will be in place ahead and behind the peloton, which includes more than 100 cyclists, along with teams, media and police, as they wind their way fthrough Suffolk, taking in two King of the Mountain stages on the Shotley peninsula and a sprint bonus section in Hadleigh.

These delays will usually last around 15 minutes, but all the main roads and lanes will be open until the athletes depart and return to the resort.

Parking restrictions will be in place, along the whole race route with vehicles warned not to park from 10.30am as indicated by the yellow signs in villages such as Trimley and those roads in and around the seafront:

Homeowners along the affected areas have received letter and vehicles owners warned any found parked along the route could be towed and a recovery cost charged.

Due to the race being held on public roads, there are many excellent areas for spectators to watch the event, which has attracted worldwide television coverage.

The best spots are along long stretches, including start and finish on Sea Road as the route winds out through Suffolk's rolling countryside.
