Unsafe growth lights to be destroyed by Trading Standards at Felixstowe docks

Trading Standards Officers have stunted the delivery of growth lights coming through the Port of Felixstowe.
More than 300 unsafe lights were seized by officers after it was found they posed a fire hazard.

Tests on the product saw the earth wire melt, while there was also access to live parts and the fuse did not have any granular filler.
As a result, the product failed to meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
The products have been removed from Amazon and will be destroyed, according to a spokesperson for Suffolk Trading Standards.
