Tests on the product saw the earth wire melt, while there was also access to live parts and the fuse did not have any granular filler.

As a result, the product failed to meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

The products have been removed from Amazon and will be destroyed, according to a spokesperson for Suffolk Trading Standards.
