In 1533, Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII's new queen, was crowned. Three years later Anne lost her crown and her head as she was executed on a number of trumped up charges. Anne Boleyn is famously reputed to have had her heart buried at Erwarton, where she was a frequent visitor to the hall.
