Quote of the day:

There used to be a strong belief that if you wanted to know what was really going on in a country, the best thing to do was to go there and ask a taxi driver.

Michael Korda

Joke of the day:

A taxi driver picks up a nun. She gets into the cab, but the driver can't stop staring at her. She asks him why is he staring.

He replies,"I have a question for you but I don't want to offend you.

She answers,"My son ,you cannot offend me. When you are as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything.Im sure there's nothing you can say or ask that I would find offensive.

"Well,I always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me."

She responds,"Well ,let's see what can be done about this. But first, you have to be single and you must be Catholic.

The taxi driver gets really excited and says,"Yes I'm single and Catholic.

"Perfect" the nun says, "pull off to the side of the road and we'll see what we can do."

The nun plants a whopper of a kiss on the cabbie but when they get back on the road, the cabbie begins to cry uncontrollably.

"My dear child,"says the nun,"Why are you crying?"

"Forgive me for I have sinned. I lied to you. I'm married and I'm Jewish.

"Thats ok," replied the passenger. "My name is Kevin and I'm going to a fancy dress party."
