A motorist in Trimley has been caught in Suffolk Roads and Armed Police Team's (RAPT} drink and drug drive campaign.

A person was arrested with cannabis in his system after a roadside test in the Felixstowe village.

Suffolk RAPT tweeted: "The driver stopped in #trimley this evening clearly hadn't seen the campaign launch.

"Thought it was acceptable to smoke cannabis prior to going for ðŸ½

Arrested, bloods taken and released pending lab results."

Police are showing a zero tolerance to suspected drink or drug drivers and are using intelligence to stop drivers suspected to committing offences, as well as high profile patrols.

The campaign was launched on December 1 and runs into the new year.
