Crew members from the Harwich Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) station proudly assumed the role of the Colour Party at St. Paul's Cathedral during The Annual National Service for Seafarers on behalf of the RNLI.

This distinguished event, held on the 11 of October, marked a significant occasion in the United Kingdom's maritime calendar.

The Annual National Service for Seafarers is a tradition that pays homage to the tireless efforts of those who navigate the seas, often in treacherous conditions, to keep global trade routes open and communities connected.

The Harwich RNLI crew's participation as the Colour Party added a touch of honour and solemnity to the proceedings, underlining the critical role played by seafarers and those who support them.

Area Lifesaving Manager Graeme Richardson said 'Well done to Di Bush (Coxswain) John Reason (ALB Mechanic) and Ade Jenner (ILB B Class Crew) who represented the RNLI at the National Seafarers service today at St Paul's Cathedral by providing a colour party.

They did the station, area, region and entire Institution proud with their turnout and professionalism'
