A man who admitted the manslaughter of a retired Felixstowe dock work has had his sentencing hearing adjourned after his barrister was taking part in industrial action.

Rhys Burroughs, 35, admitted attempting to rob 74-year-old Clive Wyard, near his home in Colchester Road , Ipswich, which led to to his death, four years ago.

A sentencing hearing for Burroughs was due to have been sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday, September 5 but the case was unable to proceed because his barrister is taking part in indefinite strike action by the Criminal Bar Association (CBA) in a dispute over pay.

Judge Martyn Levett adjourned sentencing until October 3 in the hope that Burroughs' barrister can attend..
