A popular community radio station in Felixstowe has appealed for help after being victims of a burglary.

Radio Felixstowe suffered a break in last night where vital broadcasting equipment was either stolen or vandalised, at their studio in the grounds of Felixstowe Academy at Maidstone Road.

Normal shows were disrupted but the volunteers at the local FM radio showed excellent resilience by vowing to be back on the air by 8pm today, Saturday August 29, with David and Kaleigh presenting their Saturday Night Lounge, show, however normal service will continue to be disrupted.

Even though some presenters have been broadcasting from home during the coronavirus lockdown, many were starting to work back at the studios and the attack on the station is a setback as they look to return to normal.

Station bosses have asked for anyone with pc equipment, screens to get in touch so people can carry on listening to your favourite Local Fm Radio Station in Felixstowe. Get in touch by send an email to [email protected] or [email protected].

Please contact Suffolk Police on 101 if you have information about the break in.
