Felixstowe Academy have contacted police about a mum angered by the treatment of her daughter in a dispute about school shoes.

Rachel Gouldby complained about the treatment of her daughter, on Wednesday who along with another pupil, had been singled out after she wore non-standard black shoes as she had outgrown her school shoes.

Academy staff were unhappy at Mrs Gouldby's comments and actions and reported her to the police.

A Suffolk constabulary spokesman said: "Police received a report regarding online posts regarding a dispute over school uniform non-compliance.

"The individual concerned will be spoken to with words of advice given over her actions."

Neither the Academy or Mrs Gouldby wished to comment further.
