Police in weapons quiz after man arrested in Felixstowe

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of possessing weapons after he was stopped near the Spa Pavilion in Felixstowe.

Suffolk police stopped a vehicle on Undercliff Road West, just after 11am this morning and after officers carried out further enquiries, a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of possession of weapons and drugs offences.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said: "He has been taken to Martlesham police investigation centre for questioning."
