Police are appealing for witnesses following a fire in Trimley St Martin which is being investigated as a suspected arson attack.

Emergency services were called to a fire in Meadow Close just before 3.10am yesterday, Tuesday 8 August. 

The front door of a property was scorched, while two vehicles unconnected to the property which were parked on land nearby were also badly damaged.

Nobody was hurt in the incident; however, the road was initially closed, and a police cordon was put in place while investigations took place.

Two fire crews from Felixstowe attended the incident and stood down two hours later after dealing with the issues.
