The eyes of the world will be focusing on the Shotley peninsula when the Tour of Britain comes to Suffolk on Thursday, September 7.

Flag-to-flag live coverage of the fifth stage of the Tour of Britain will be shown live on television, plus a nightly highlights show, thanks to ITV4.

The high points will include the start and finish along Felixstowe seafront, two King of the Mountain challenges on the Shotley peninsula and the stage Sprint in Hadleigh,

Battle hardened racers will tackle Freston Hill after sprinting along the scenic Strand along by the river Orwell, and will also pump their legs even harder as they go up Primrose Hill in Holbrook. The main Sprint will take place down Hadleigh High Street.

ITV4 will broadcast more than 45 hours of coverage from the 2023 race with the full schedule for live coverage and the highlights programmes have been revealed.

Stage five, which starts live from 10.30am until 4pm, with the highlights show on ITV4 between 9pm – 10pm

For international fans outside of the UK comprehensive race coverage will be available on Eurosport; advert-free streams will available on the Eurosport app, GCN+, and discovery +, meaning Hadleigh will be seen the world over.
