Peninsula choristers perform at Westminster Abbey

The Royal Hospital School's (RHS) Chamber Choir and senior members of the Chapel Choir had the privilege to sing a service of Choral Evensong at Westminster Abbey, London at the end of term.
The pupils sang to a congregation of more than 1,000 attendees, which included the British High Commissioner to Pakistan.

The choir sang the canticles by Howells (Gloucester Service), anthem (It Is A Thing Most Wonderful) by Philip Moore and the responses by Smith (five-part).
The opportunity to sing in what is arguably the ceremonial 'mother church' for the UK and the building where, in just a few weeks' time, we will witness the coronation of King Charles III is something that will stay with the pupils for a long time to come.
Ed Allen, Director of Music at RHS, said: "At the Royal Hospital School, we are proud of our choir and musical achievements. To have the honour of singing at Westminster Abbey is a privilege that our school and pupils will remember for a long time to come, and we hope this also inspires our future pupils too."
