Motorists have been warned of delays getting in and out of Felixstowe as the Orwell Bridge remains shut due to high winds from Storm Ciarán.

Westbound traffic has been diverted at the junction before the Shell garage, Eastbound traffic is being diverted down the A137 ski slope and through Ipswich town centre with delays expected

Although the peninsula escaped the worst of the second storm to hit Suffolk in recent weeks, winds gusted up to 60mph over the bridge.

The Port of Felixstowe has stopped taking bookings meaning a reduction in lorries arriving at the docks.
