Villagers in the Trimley are bracing themselves for another night of noise and disruption as roadworks will lead to a major road closure tonight.

The eastbound carriageway on the A14 near the Port of Felixstowe will be closed between 9pm tonight Thursday and 6am on Friday while National Highways carries out essential works. 

A one-and-a-half-mile diversion route will be in place.
