The first Marco Pierre White pub has opened its doors in Felixstowe.

Called The Queen's Head, the new pub is located on the junction of Queens Road and Orwell Road and forms part of a major refurbishment project that saw the opening of a new boutique-style hotel called Hotel Coco and a new Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill restaurant.

The new pub will serve traditional pub grub. Included on the menu is White's famous Colonel Mustard's scotch egg, French Onion soup made with house ale, the pub favourite Ham, Egg & Chips and a selection of traditional pickles which customers can enjoy with their favourite pint. Customers can also enjoy cockles, eggs and walnuts.

For those who enjoy sport, The Queen's Head will be showing Sky Sports and there is also a darts board.

Andrew Vales.

Andrew Vales, general manager said: "To be the first Marco Pierre White Ale House is hugely exciting and we're delighted that we can now start pulling pints and serving classic pub food.

"The Great British pub is more than just a place to drink beer. We also want this to become a real hub where local residents, families and community groups feel comfortable to meet up and enjoy the atmosphere of a venue that has been devised by one of the country's most respected hospitality greats.

"Also, when you hear almost daily that pubs across the country are closing their doors, it's great news that we are bucking the trend and have opened The Queen's Head."

Darren Coslett-Blaize, Brand Director for Marco Pierre White Restaurants added: "We have written the menu with Marco and dived into the history of pub dining, making sure to compliment what a true British pub is and ensure we are still having a modern approach to what we do

"We have worked with Marco and the Hotel Coco team to ensure the venues are zero waste whilst still offering the UK's favourite pub classics. Whether you are joining us for a quick pint and a pickle, game of darts, read a newspaper in peace or catch up with friends, we have reintroduced that community hub that many have lost.
