Knife carrying Felixstowe drug dealer warned he faces jail sentence

A drug dealer from Felixstowe who was also caught carrying knife has been told he is likely to be jailed when he appears for sentencing later this month.

Daniel McAlpine, of St Andrew's Road, Felixstowe, was warned by Judge Emma Peters at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday he faces an immediate prison sentence when the case comes back for sentencing on July 25.

The 36-year-old admitted possessing ecstasy with intent to supply on or before December 29, 2019, being concerned in the supply of ecstasy and being concerned in the supply of cannabis and cocaine.

McAlpine also admitted possessing cannabis and having an article with a blade, namely a multi-tool knife, in Langley Avenue, Felixstowe. on the same date as the drug offences.

The court heard has previous convictions for similar offences,

Judge Emma Peters allowed McAlpine's bail to continue after adjourned sentence until the week commencing July 25 in order to allow the prosecution to consider McAlpine's basis of plea.
