Royal Hospital School (RHS) in Holbrook are celebrating after being shortlisted in the 'Co-educational Independent School of the Year' category in the Independent Schools of the Year 2023 awards.

This category highlights the school's positive contribution to the environment and their students wellbeing, by demonstrating that student well-being sits at the heart of its ethos and informs and underpins the life of the whole-school community.

Independent Schools of the Year 2023 is a prestigious award programme by Independent School Parent magazine.

The awards are designed to showcase schools' success stories and celebrate the extraordinary and compelling student experience they provide.

A record number of nominations were received again this year and the chair of the judging panel, Dr Helen Wright, was delighted with the quality.

She said: "It has been truly wonderful to receive so many nominations, which demonstrate the impact that independent schools are having in so many parts of the UK – and indeed the world."

Simon Lockyer, Headmaster at RHS added: "We believe that RHS offers an inspiring and supportive environment where pupils gain the confidence and awareness needed for adult life.

"We're honoured to be shortlisted for the Co-educational Independent School of the Year award."

Finalists will be announced in early September, you can view the full shortlist here.
