Head 'Ogre' Heels: Shrek the Musical coming to Felixstowe

It is time to get ogre-excited as Spa Pavilion has announced the Tony-award winning 'Shrek The Musical' will be coming to Felixstowe later this month.

Produced and directed by Suzie Lowe (Dennis Lowe Theatre Co.), this beloved tale will transfer your favourite characters from the screen onto the stage for a fun adventure through 'blistering winds and scorching deserts.'

Speaking to Radio Suffolk last year, Lowe describes the show as being 'lovely, bright and colourful' and having 'something for everyone.'

Cast members include Jon Bingham, former backing dancer for Take That, as Shrek and Harriet Bacon, Snow White in 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarves' (Ipswich Regent), as Princess Fiona.

After a tough 18 months for the arts, this fun-for-the-family production will be a sight for sore eyes for those who have desperately missed a trip to the theatre. Initially scheduled for April 2021, due to government guidelines on social gatherings, it was re-scheduled for August 2021.

These performances will be the perfect end for the summer holidays and the show's uplifting message will be a well-needed relief after the effects of the current pandemic.

Date and times for the performances are as followed:

Thursday 26 August 2021: 7.30pm

Friday 27 August 2021: 7.30pm

Saturday 28 August 2021: 2.30pm and 7.30pm

Sunday 29 August 2021: 3pm
