The half-term is here and the age-old question of "what are we going to do with the kids?" are on most parents' minds. Get them away from the TV and any other electrical device and get them outdoors.

Here at Felixstowe Nub News, we have made a go-to guide for this half-term to encourage you to get out and enjoy Felixstowe.

1. Beach Street Rollers

Beach Street and Ipswich Skating Club are teaming up to offer roller skating lessons in Beach Street. Running on Wednesday and Friday afternoons, it will be a great chance to tire out the kids (and yourself). All abilities are encouraged to join so everyone can give it a go.

Sessions are £3.50.

Wednesday 23 February & Friday 25 February: 14:00 - 16:00. For more information, visit our What's On post here. 2. Felixstowe Book Hunt Across the whole half-term week, your little ones can become real-life explorers as they hunt across Felixstowe for strategically placed free children's books. These books will be hidden across the town centre and the seafront for children to find, which they can then keep for themselves or re-hide. Clues as to their location will be given on the Felixstowe Book Hunt Facebook group, so keep a lookout for your child's next favourite read. For more information, visit our What's On post here. 3. Circus Spectacular The circus is coming to Felixstowe's Spa Pavilion on Thursday evening with the top class artistes of the Circus Spectacular. Get the ooh's and ahh's ready as you watch the acts. Also, if you are seated in the first four rows, you will be provided with a rain mac as there will be a slosh style finale. Curious to know what a slosh style finale entails? You will have to go to find out. Thursday 24th February

Tickets are £19 Adult and £17.50 Child/Concession. Family (2+2) Tickets available at £68.

For more information, visit our What's On post here.

4. Felixstowe Pier and Boardwalk Café & Bar

Arguably Felixstowe's best known entertainment landmark, Felixstowe Pier is home to the famous arcades. With game upon game to try out, your children can be entertained for hours.

Adjacent to the arcades, there is a chance to relax and have a bite to eat at the Boardwalk Café & Bar. With views of the seafront, you can tuck into a hearty British classic. The kid's won't be left out as they also offer a kid's menu for your little one's hungry stomach after playing in the arcades.

For more information on opening times for both the arcade and Boardwalk Café & Bar, visit the Felixstowe Pier website here.

5. Felixstowe Leisure Centre

Felixstowe Leisure Centre hosts plenty of physical activities for your children to enjoy and blow off some steam.

For little ones under 130cm, they have a soft play facility with features including a ball pit, slides and bish bash bags.

There also teaching and baby pools alongside the main swimming pool, so you and your children can learn a new skill or just have a fun splash around.

For more information on opening times and bookings, visit the Felixstowe Leisure Centre website here.
