The sudden closure of Goslings Farm Shop, Garden Centre and Café in Trimley St Martin, near Felixstowe, has sparked further development fears among nearby residents.

In a post on social media the Goslings' owners said: "It is with great sadness that, as of today (Friday), Gosling's Farm has had to close its doors.

"Thank you to all of our loyal customers over the past few years."

No further explanation for the reasons why it has shut, or what the future plans are for the site.

That prompted concerns among Trimley residents that are already facing large housing developments.

Mary Wilson, of Trimley St Martin, told Nub News: We need to know as soon s possible what is going on.

"Why has such an important business closed, what is going to happen t its staff, and what will happen to all that land?

"We have already seen huge amounts of building going on in the Trimley area, so to see more would be devastating and completely change the landscape of our villages for ever, and not necessarily for the better."
