Goldstar Transport are to extend their sponsorship of Felixstowe & Walton United FC by a further three years.

The company became partners of the club in 2008 with the renaming of the Town Ground as The Goldstar Ground and additional support for other areas of the club including the annual Firework Spectacular.

The three-year deal for seasons 2021/22, 22/23 and 23/24 takes the association to 15 years.

Simon Day, a director of Goldstar Transport Ltd said: "I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the club for all the work it does in the community, whilst the senior football is important I think providing a safe and secure environment for all the kids to play football is one of Goldstar's main motivators to continue our support."

Chris Daynes, joint chairman of Felixstowe & Walton Unitedsaid- "We are extremely grateful to Simon and all at Goldstar for their continued support of the club. The partnership has been a huge success over the last 12 years, bringing together two big contributors to the community of Felixstowe together in a way that works really well for both parties.

"This three-year extension gives the club a very positive boost amongst the negative impact of Covid, giving vital security at a time when it is most needed. The support enables us to confidently plan beyond the current effects of football being suspended, and to eventually get back to doing what we do best... providing football for all and being a hub of the community."
