Seasiders boss Stuart Boardley has underlined the importance of the FA Cup as his side beat Woodford Town 4-1 away to progress to the First Qualifying round for the first time in seven years. 

Billy Holland, Zak Brown, Josh Hitter and Noel Aitken all netted for free-scoring Felixstowe & Walton United.

Boadley said: "Both the FA Cup and the FA Trophy are hugely impotent to the cub

"It is a competition I have an affinity with having done well personally in before.

"Clubs like us rely on good cup runs, not just for the money but it bring a buzz around the club."

A large Felixstowe following were among the 225 crowd that saw their side win at the McCulloch Stadium, and will find out wh they meet in the second round tomorrow (Monday) lunchtime
