Fire crews cut a person free from a car following a three-vehicle crash on the Dock Spur roundabout this morning.

The casualty was taken to hospital after the roof was cut away from their car after police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene of the crash at at the junction of the A14 and Candlet Road.

Three fire crews from Felixstowe, Ipswich East and Princes Street were called to the crash at 7.57am. A stop time was called 8.53am.

A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance service said:

"An ambulance and a senior paramedic in a response vehicle attended a road traffic collision on Candlet Road in Felixstowe just after 7.45am today.

"One patient was transported to Ipswich Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
