Felixstowe & Walton United have imposed a number of rules to combat incidents of anti-social behaviour blamed on under 16s at the Goldstar Ground in Dellwood Avenue.
The club has moved after a number of incidents involving anti-social behaviour and police reports of criminal damage and trespassing into neighbouring properties.
Seasiders board members have taken the decision to strictly enforce the rule that all U16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult, and must enter the ground at the same time. Youth team members must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Due to the actions of a minority of U16s, spectator footballs will also be banned anywhere inside the ground at all matches. The 'kick about' area behind the Dellwood goal will be padlocked.
These rules will be in place starting with tonights fixture v Stowmarket and will remain for all fixtures at the Goldstar Ground (U18, First team & ITFC Women) until the end of this season, at which point they will be reviewed to ascertain whether other alternatives are available, including a junior card membership scheme.
A club spokesman said: "The club is disappointed to have to take this action, but has no other option at this time and will not tolerate anti-social behaviour of any kind.
The Club has offered free admission to all U16s for the last 12 years as a way of attracting future supporters to follow the Seasiders, but it will not be at the expense of losing other paying spectators, put off from attending by the actions of a minority."
