A moody Martello photograph captured the public's vote to be named this year's Felixstowe Photo of 2020.

The photographic competition, organised and supported by Visit Felixstowe, Felixstowe Town Council and the Landguard Partnership, attracted around 70 entries from all ages (12 to 81 years) and abilities over three different themes - Active, Historic and Seasons.

Following an online public vote, the top 12 photos were selected (four from each theme). A panel of judges, including the Mayor of Felixstowe then selected the overall "Judge's Choice" Winner.

So, we are pleased to announce the winner of the Felixstowe Photo Competition 2020 is Michael Ralph from Felixstowe with his dramatic shot of Martello Tower 'T'. Michael's photo was entered into the 'Historic' theme.

The seaside town described by Visit Felixstowe as 'a unique, exciting and diverse location for photographic opportunities - seaside fun, beautiful gardens, huge container ships, historic buildings and rich wildlife habitats'.

Felixstowe Town councillor Nick Barber said: "Once again this year's entries have been outstanding and really show the rich variety of landmarks and attractions of our seaside town.

"Congratulations to Michael, and we would also like to thank everyone else who took the time to enter this year's competition".
