Felixstowe man faces trial after denying drink driving

A Felixstowe man will face trial after denying drink driving in the resort.

Dean Nastev, of Cobbold Road, Felixstowe appeared at Suffolk Magistrates' Court yesterday (October 29) charged with a single count of drink driving.

The 44-year-old, pleaded not guilty through a Bulgarian interpreter at the preliminary hearing in Ipswich.

Nastev is alleged to have been driving a Ford Ka in Felixstowe on March 21 this year while over the limit for alcohol, magistrates heard.

He is alleged to have recorded a reading of 95 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg in 100ml of breath.

Nastev was granted unconditional bail by magistrates, until his trial which is estimated to take around two-and-a-half hours, will take place on January 10, 2022.
