Judge tells Felixstowe man he faces jail after admitting knife attack in the town

A Felixstowe man has been warned he faces a jail sentence after admitting stabbing a man in the town last October.

Daniel Eacott, of Queens Road, Felixstowe, was told by a judge at Ipswich Crown Court today that he is facing a "significant term of imprisonment" after pleading guilty to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Eacott, 32, spoke via prison video link and to confirm his name and guilty plea in the trial preparation hearing.

His barrister, William Carter, said a psychiatric report had been completed, and Judge Emma Peters ordered a report to assess dangerousness ahead of the sentencing hearing, next month.

Eacott, who had no previous convictions, was warned by Judge Peters told Eacott he was looking at a "significant term of imprisonment".

She also told him: "The question is how long and what type of sentence that is going to be."
