A 33-year-old Felixstowe man has been arrested in connection with alleged serious sexual assault in Ipswich last year.

The attack took place between 5.05pm and 5.20pm on Thursday, November 24 in Brooks Hall Road, near Norwich Road.

Suffolk police revealed a girl was walking from Bramford Lane and turned into the road where she was approached by a man, who sexually assaulted her.

It is alleged he then threatened the girl before leaving and walking away in the direction of Norwich Road.

On Wednesday morning, a 33-year-old man was arrested in Felixstowe on suspicion of sexual assault.

The man has been taken to Martlesham police investigation centre for questioning.

Two other men, aged 37 and 38, who were previously arrested in connection with the attack and had been on police bail, were informed in December that they would face no further action.

Detectives continue to appeal for anyone with information about the incident to contact the South Safeguarding Investigation Unit at Suffolk police, quoting crime reference number 74798/22.
