Dubbed the 'Felixstowe Four' have the backing of Unite the Union that is looking to have them reinstated.

The four were among the majority of the 1,900 workers that took part in industrial action over pay last year before being suspended, disciplined and dismissed by Hutchison Ports.

The workers won a a seven per cent increase for 2022 and an additional one off payment of £500 and then from 1 January 2023 and 8.5 per cent pay increase and a one off payment of £1,000.

But the 'Felixstowe Four' were not reinstated and are now taking legal action against the company with Unite's backing, which could end in an employment tribunal.

A spokesman for Unite said: "We are showing we will never give up on our members.

"This is designed to have a chilling effect on people taking part in industrial action.

"The union will do whatever it takes to get the Felixstowe Four the justice they deserve and we now call on Hutchison Ports to reinstate them."
