The iconic Felixstowe foot and cycle ferry to Harwich and Shotley is set to return operating on Monday.

Christian Zemann has completed the refurbishment of the ferry which suffered a serious setback last September when it became partially submerged following a storm, which took it from its mooring in Harwich. (full story here...)

Journeys for the 2021 season will start from the beach at Landguard from 10.30 on Monday, March 29. It will then every run hour, except 12.30 for a lunch break, until 16.30, with the last ferry back from Harwich leaving Ha'penny Pier at 16.10.

Only 12 passengers will allowed at the moment, eventually rising to 58 when permitted, and the trip to Harwich will take 15 minutes, and further seven minutes to Shotley following departure.
