Felixstowe duo recognised by King Charles in birthday honours list

Two people from Felixstowe have been named in King Charles III birthday honours list.
Professor Timothy John Whitley. Managing Director, Applied Research, BT. For services to Communications Technologies and to Scientific Policy was made an OBE, an Officers of the Order of the British Empire.
Meanwhile, Karen Anne Harris was named as a Medallists of the Order of the British Empire (BEM).
Those who receive an honour from the King will be invited to a royal residence, usually Buckingham Palace, where they will be presented with their insignia by a member of the Royal Family. Members of the public can be awarded honours for things like long-term voluntary service, displaying moral courage and enhancing Britain's reputation.
The King's birthday will be celebrated with a Trooping the Colour ceremony today.
The ceremony will comprise of an impressive display of pageantry, including a fly-past from RAF planes.
