A Felixstowe drug dealer has been jailed for his part in the robbery and kidnapping of a man in the town.

Meanwhile, another person from Felixstowe was handed a suspended prison sentence after being found guilty of a separate but related incident in Woodbridge a year later.

Jerome Greaves, of Highfield Road, Felixstowe, was sent down for 40 months by Judge Martin Levett yesterday (Thursday, May 11) after admitting being involved in the incident in December 2020, which involved a person being chased by a group wielding a samurai sword and a machete.

Greaves, 23, was also sentenced for being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine between January and March last year which related to him holding the county lines' "Saviour" drug line.

He was jailed along with Nolan Akuoko, 19, of Faraday Road, Ipswich, Keon Graham, 23, of no fixed address who were handed 19 and 30 months prison sentences respectively.

The trio admitted violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon after being caught on CCTV chasing the victim, who was carrying a claw hammer, along Coronation Drive and Elizabeth Way before forcing him into a car.

The car was then driven by the victim along the A14 before being stopped by police in the Nacton area of Ipswich.

Meanwhile, Dylan Craft of Mill Lane, Felixstowe, was given a two year suspended sentences and 60-day rehabilitation orders for being part of gang that kidnapped a youth in Woodbridge in December 2021.

Craft, 19, along with Kai Mangar, 19, of Brunswick Road, Ipswich and Aluko, had denied robbery and kidnapping the 17-year-old but was found guilty at trial, while Eliot Sadler, 18, of Nacton Road, Ipswich, who lured the teenager to Fen Meadow, was ordered to complete unpaid work and given a rehabilitation order.
