Police are hunting for a man who let his Rottweiler dog off its lead that then attacked a Labrador and its owner.

The Labrador male oner were left needing medical care after a dog attack in a playing field off Garrison lane Felixstowe on Saturday.

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses or information following the attack.

The incident occured on Saturday, June 17 between 5pm and 5.20pm on the playing fields at the former Deben High School site in Garrison Lane. 

A black Rottweiler that was not on a lead left the owner with cuts and puncture wounds, and his Labrador required veterinary treatment. 

The police are looking for the owner of the Rottweiler, who is described to be about 30 to 40 years old, with a large, muscular build and a beard.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, light-coloured shorts and a baseball cap. 

Anyone with information related to the incident, or knows who was responsible for the Rottweiler, should contact Suffolk police, quoting crime reference number 37/35029/23.
