Passengers travelling to and from Felixstowe by bus have been warned to wrap up warm and wear a face covering.

Following the government's announcement over the weekend on new Covid measures, First Buses have reminded passengers of some of the restrictions in place to keep our customers safe when travelling on their buses.

These include having the windows open on all its buses to increase ventilation.

A spokesperson said: "From 30 November it is a legal requirement to wear a face covering on board our buses for the duration of your journey.

"Please remember to bring a face covering as without one you will be unable to travel, unless you are exempt. If you are unable to wear a face covering, you might want to get a journey assistance card, to help you let people know. Please contact us if you would like one.

"We will continue to ensure that all windows are left open for additional ventilation to keep you and others around you safe, so please make sure you wear appropriate layers of clothing to remain comfortable during your journey."

The government's new rules mean it is also mandatory to wear face masks in shops and when travelling on all public transport, including trains.
